Terms of Service & End-User Licence Agreement

Worksum is a hosted job-management platform for trades and building-services firms — scheduling, a field app, job costing, invoicing, compliance certificates and related tools. We provide it on a subscription basis and improve it over time; features may be added, changed or retired.

You must give accurate details, keep your login secure, and are responsible for activity under your account and your team’s. You must be authorised to act for the business you register, and you’re responsible for your users’ use of the service. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Worksum for your own business while your subscription is active. You agree not to: resell or sublicense the service; copy, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract its source; use it to break the law or infringe others’ rights; upload malware; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service or other customers’ data.

The business data you enter — your clients, jobs, invoices, certificates and records — remains yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process it so we can provide the service. You can export all of it at any time from within the app. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the personal data you put into Worksum about your own staff and customers.

Worksum can connect to services such as Xero, QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, Stripe and GoCardless. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we’re not responsible for them. Connecting or disconnecting an integration is your choice; when connected, you authorise the exchange of the data needed for that feature.

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose (monthly or annually). A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription only if you choose to subscribe. Fees are stated on our pricing page and exclude VAT unless stated. If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, we may make the account read-only until it’s resolved. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

We work to keep Worksum available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service and may occasionally need to perform maintenance. The field app is designed to keep working offline and sync when a connection returns.

Worksum helps you produce certificates, RAMS and records that reference recognised standards. You remain the competent person responsible for the accuracy and correctness of anything you issue. The templates are tools to help you record your work — they do not replace your professional judgement, qualifications or scheme membership.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or data beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, or where required by law. Around closure we give you a window to export your data before it’s deleted, subject to records we must retain by law.

We may update these terms as the product and law evolve. We’ll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Worksum after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
